Cook Group Ltd are Hull & East Yorkshire’s premier Building Preservation Company and we are currently seeking applications of interest for the role of:
If successful you will join a team with over 30 years’ experience in the damp and timber industry where you will be an integral part of the ongoing expansion of the company.
Your day to day activities will comprise but not be limited to the following key tasks:
- Carry out surveys of domestic and commercial property to ascertain the level of damp and timber issues currently needing attention.
- Created a fully costed survey and report for the client.
- To manage secured contracts in conjunction with the Contracts Manager so as variations are correctly costed and advised.
- Develop new business and assist in company expansion.
- Carry out basic H&S site audits when required.

The successful applicant must be able to show initiative within a commercial setting.
They must be able to work well as part of a small team in a family owned and run business.
Knowledge of the construction industry and practices commonly used in the built environment is beneficial however short a period you have undertaken.

Are you are a graduate? A young junior surveyor looking for a rewarding challenge in a unique area of the construction industry? Or are you a more seasoned campaigner with a lengthy construction industry back ground in surveying?
Whatever level you are currently at we will be interested to hear from you as well as from anyone with a construction background however short, who is looking to get into a surveying role and progress themselves.

New to the industry? Recently left full time education? Fancy being trained to high standards and acheiving a specialist NVQ2 all whilst working for the regions premier preservation and structural waterproofing company?
Training includes carrying out preservation treatments, bricklaying, plastering and joinery skills. Once trained you will be a truly multi skilled tradesperson with a skill set you will be proud of and many will be envious of!
As a technician you will be able to carry out replastering to a high standard and have a good range of joinery and basic bricklaying skills, full training on preservation treatments will be given.
A full clean driving license is essential for this position.
We currently don’t have a trainee surveyor position, but if you’ve recently finished a degree in building surveying or similar and love the idea of surveying properties from terraced Victorian houses to Grade I listed buildings and many things inbetween!
